about the creator: (by himself)
52 year old white Metro-Detroiter.*************************************These photographers never fail to astonish me with their talent & freshness & their ability to capture images that escape the notice of everyone else on the planet. Most notably BlueDragonflyGirl who has the best eye of any photographer I've seen on Flickr & is still getting better : www.flickr.com/photos/bluedragonfly/Finchymouse is not only a friend of BDG but also a favorite model/subject of BDG & an outstanding photographer in her own right. www.flickr.com/photos/89303599@N00/Zzzzt!Zzzzt! is a professional but I don't hold that against him :-) there is a caring soulful quality in every frame he shoots: www.flickr.com/photos/blainepen/*********************************I took my moniker NO TRAMS TO LIME STREET from the title of a teleplay by screenwriter Alun Owen, best known for his work on the Beatles film 'A HARD DAY'S NIGHT the subtle alliteration stuck in my head and it's the kind of mnemonic device that lends itself well for use as an easily remembered unique internet persona. A HARD DAY'S NIGHT is still one of my favorite films. Richard Lester's striking black & white images were indelibly stuck in my mind on first viewing 40 odd years ago and never left. *******************************************UPDATE 08/2008Took the plunge & upgraded to PRO after joining the group STUFF WHITE PEOPLE LIKE on a lark & as a result being invited to other groups & getting caught up in adding more photos than free FLICKr account allowed. I'm Male and Taken. METRO DETROIT
1) As Photographer I am available to do photography like weddings, birthdays, baptisms, anniversaries, graduations, commercials, movie stills, models, journalistic, etc. Ideally, I prefer that it to be within the LA area and suburbs where I live. But, if you really wanted me to do photography outside of my place, there will be extra fees for transportation, accommodation and food.
If you know anyone who needs a professional photographer, I will really appreciate if you can recommend me. You will be compensated for finding me a client.
Within USA only.
2) As Retoucher If you want the KK Touch in your pictures, you can hire me to work on your pictures with a small fee. The finished artwork will be yours and it will not be known to anyone except you and me. Since it's your photo, you can sell it, flickr it, be proud of it on your wall. You don't have to give me credit unless you insist. Payment will be through PayPal or check. Instruction on the payment will be made through email.
For anyone in the world.
How to contact So, in the event you need me, just email me. For retouching job, send original photos to this email too.
FROM THE CREATOR 'Pentaxpics 2009': This is a series that I have started with shapes created from real smoke. My PP abilities are still limited so some of the images are crudely edited. Although I didn't have to postprocess it much but the little parts that I had to remove they need a bit more refinemen.I am hoping with time to improve those skills and perfect the pp process.Hope you all enjoy viewing as much as I have enjoyed creating them.It certainly is addictive and often I have been locking myself in the studio room creating smoke :)
I'm a flickr member for years and must say it's my favorite photos site of all-time. These slideshows are from public photos of flickr members which I think have some 'interestingness' (the world flickrers know well). Enjoy!
Note on 6 April 2009: This blog is a few days old and it became my diary. Not my first intention but now I've seen many things I love in life in these slideshows. Who could ask for anything more?
Slideshow is a modern concatenation of "SlideShow". A slideshow is a display of a series of chosen images, which is done for artistic or instructional purposes. Slideshows are conducted by a presenter using an apparatus, such as a carousel slide projector, an overhead projector or in more recent years, a computer running presentation software. The term originates from the use of slides which have been around for many years. Slides originally were projected on movie theater screens by magic lanterns as part of the program of early moving picture shows.
